The writing is great, and other characters are good, except Ayesha, who is no where near as bad as Jack, but the fact she is very aware of the camera and over acts is annoying. She has absolutely no correct inflection in her words to let one understand what emotion she is trying to invoke. WHOEVER cast her in this role should be fired.
Jack is the big downside, as her acting is UNBEARABLE. Alex's best friend Tom is funny, and their chemistry is great.

The direction was full of action, and dark, gritty, locations that made you feel a sense of foreboding, and suspense. They actor for Alex Ryder was adorably cute, mischievous, and entirely believable as his character Alex.
